1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Brentals, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to list, bid, or rent on Brentals. By using the platform you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. Listings and bidding
Owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including condition, availability and pricing. Bids are binding offers — the highest bid when an auction closes forms a rental agreement between owner and renter. Brentals is a marketplace facilitator and is not a party to that agreement.
4. Payments and fees
Rental payments are processed and held in escrow until pickup is confirmed. Brentals charges a service fee on completed rentals, disclosed before checkout. Fees are non-refundable once a rental is confirmed, except as required by law.
5. Cancellations and disputes
Cancellation windows and refund eligibility are set per listing. Damage or dispute claims must be filed within 48 hours of the scheduled return with supporting evidence. Brentals may mediate disputes but is not liable for the acts or omissions of owners or renters.
6. Prohibited use
You may not list stolen, illegal, unsafe or counterfeit items, misrepresent listings, circumvent Brentals payments, or use the platform to harass another user. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
7. Limitation of liability
Brentals is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brentals is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any rental transaction.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Brentals after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
